About Kankakee, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Kankakee, IL is the county seat of Kankakee County and is not far from Chicago.  Like the rest of the region, this town experiences 4 distinct seasons.  The springs are warm and rainy, the summers are hot and humid, the falls are cool and the winters are cold and sometimes snowy.  This makes this area ideal for people who love to watch the seasons change and enjoy variety in their weather.

For those interested in architecture, Kankakee is a must-see.   The B. Harley Bradley House was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1900. The B. Harley Bradley House marks the beginning of Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie School period which became Wright's best known style.  After the Bradley House design, Wright's commissions were often derived from this plan and inspired by it.  This marks a decade of Lloyd’s career and is an important piece of architectural history.    Following an extensive restoration, the Bradley House is now open to the public for tours.  This is a perfect way to spend a few hours on a cold, snowy winter day.

Looking for another great way to spend a day learning and growing? The Kankakee County Museum is another great educational opportunity and a way to spend a day indoors on a cold, winter day or hot, summer day.  With a wide variety of exhibits, from African American history to World War II history as well as gardens, there is much to see, explore and discuss and would be equally fun for adults and children.

If you prefer to be outdoors, then there is still plenty for you to do in this area.  Whether you love to snowmobile or swim and hike, there is something for everyone and every season.  The Kankakee Valley Park District maintains a large number of parks and facilities and holds a wide variety of events and activities.  Nearby towns also offer a lot of opportunities for those who love nature and being outside. The Old Plank Road Trail in Frankfort is a 20 mile bike bath which runs through town and provides access to the historic district and you simply cannot miss Kankakee River State Park in nearby Bourbonnais where you can hike, picnic, hunt or fish in the warm months and snowmobile or cross country ski in the winter.
