About New Lenox, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

New Lenox is a village in Illinois not far from Chicago.  This town has almost 25,000 residents and is projected to have almost 100,000 by 2030.  In short, it is growing quickly.  As a matter of fact, this whole area and its many villages and towns are growing quite rapidly. There is a great deal that draws people to this region.  Its proximity to Chicago is, of course, is a “pro.”  The weather in the area is seasonal and each season brings a distinct set of weather conditions.  In the winter it is cold and snowy often and in the summer it is hot and humid.  It is an ideal area for those who love to watch the seasons change.

In 2005, the village opened the Commons and it quickly became the center of activity for New Lenox.  It is the new home to the village’s annual 4th of July festivities as well as annual festivals, Chamber events, and stage performances. When the weather is hot and people are wanting to be out and about, the village puts together an annual Summer Performing Arts Program including a series of free concerts and family movie nights.  New Lenox also offers the Sanctuary Golf Course which has been rated by the Golf Chicago magazine as a "Best Buy.”  The New Lenox French Market opened in 2011. The Market runs late spring through October when the weather is most hospitable.  There is fresh produce, perennials and potted herbs, gourmet cheeses, dips, candies, sauces, canned and baked goods, fresh coffee and more to peruse, purchase and enjoy.

As the weather cools in the fall, there is a shift in the culture of the area.  Chicago sports and football, in particular, are very important in this area.  Nearby Bourbonnais is home to Olivet Nazarene University, where the Chicago Bears hold their training camp each year. Each hot summer, the football team spends a little over a month in the village practicing and preparing for the upcoming season and, each fall, as the weather cools and the leaves change colors, residents spend their Sundays watching the Bears on TV.  This area comes alive in fall in a way that must be experienced to be understood.

The winters are cold and often snowy but that does not mean there is nothing to do. There are a lot of great attractions surrounding New Lenox.  In Chicago, Ford City Mall, The Atrium Mall or The Shops at Northbridge are all chic, urban shopping areas that will occupy you a cold, winter day.  Be sure to wear a coat and scarf if you visit the Shops at Northbridge because it is an outdoor area. The Kankakee County Museum is a wonderful educational opportunity with a wide variety of exhibits, from African American history to World War II history to banking and printing history. Kankakee River State Park is in nearby Bourbonnais where you can snowmobile or cross country ski in the winter.
