About Peotone, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Peotone, IL is a small, rural community just south of Chicago.  The 4,142 residents enjoy the serenity of a country lifestyle. This town is quaint and beautiful. The picturesque village is what you imagine when you think of a Midwestern small town.  According to the town’s website, “The village streets are wide, curbed, and shaded with old trees of all varieties.”  Within the town there are many historic homes and buildings and this sleepy village looks like it should be the subject of a painting.  In the winter, the roads are covered in snow and in the summer and spring the sun shines brightly and warms the town’s charming streets. It’s simply stunning.

What is so wonderful about this town is that it is rural but just a short trip to Chicago.  If you are looking for the big-city shopping experience, there are many high-end malls and chic urban shopping areas such as: Ford City Mall, The Atrium Mall or The Shops at Northbridge.  A bit of “retail therapy” is the ideal way to spend a cold, winter day in this part of the country.  The Shops at Northbridge is an outdoor shopping area and not an indoor mall so be sure to wrap up in your scarf and gloves if you head out to shop there on a cold day.

However, you don’t have to travel to Chicago to experience culture, shopping and other excitement.  There is much to do all over this region of Illinois.  Chicago sports and football, in particular, are very important in this area.  Nearby Bourbonnais is home to Olivet Nazarene University, where the Chicago Bears hold their training camp each year. Each hot summer, the football team spends a little over a month in the village practicing and preparing for the upcoming season and, each fall, as the weather cools and the leaves change colors, residents spend their Sundays watching the Bears on TV.

New Lenox, which is a short drive from Peotone, also offers the Sanctuary Golf Course which has been rated by the Golf Chicago magazine as a "Best Buy.”  The New Lenox French Market opened in 2011. The Market runs late spring through October when the weather is most hospitable.  There is fresh produce, perennials and potted herbs, gourmet cheeses, dips, candies, sauces, canned and baked goods, fresh coffee and more to peruse, purchase and enjoy. These are both great ways to spend a nice spring, summer or autumn day.
